When I think of a piece of handmade jewelry, I think of stories. I think of textures and movement. I think of originality. I made this piece thinking about commercial jewelry in contrast. It is one thing to choose a piece of jewelry because you bought it at a certain store that you saw advertised to the nation on television, it is another thing to find something handmade and when giving it as a gift to tell the person why you think it represents your relationship with them.
